Beyond the Aquila Rift

The animations in this short film reminded me of the movie The Polar Express. The production team of The Polar Express used motion capture technology to animate realistic-looking human characters. Motion animation is created by using sensors placed on actors' skin to record a person's movements and translate them into computer animation. Similarly, the producers of Beyond the Aquila Rift used rendered 3D modeling mapped over motion capture. Beyond the Aquila Rift definitely used more cutting-edge animation, especially because The Polar Express was created back in 2004. I simply found it interesting how similar they appeared especially with the difference in time in which they were created.

5th Element- Fashion Show

Designer Inspiration: Sheri Hill Sherri Hill designs elegant evening wear. We were inspired by her simplistic looks with minor three-dimensional elements.  How does it connect to The 5th Element ? We were inspired by the main concept of the movie, saving the planet. We decided to use recyclable materials because in the future we hope that there will be a bigger effort into saving the planet.  Creative Process:

Creative Process Behind our Final Project

Don't Look Up Poster Creative Process: We decided to conduct our final project on the film, Don't Look Up. We drew inspiration for our poster from the ideas of politicians and social media blinding the world to the dangers of climate change.  Sofia laid out photos and text while outlining a border to cut and create a new background shape.                                         Me gluing down photos and text for the main piece of our poster.  Sofia beginning to place and glue photos and text on our newly shaped cover piece. Finished Product: We attached the two pieces together with staples to complete the look.
